Air travel for me is an odd combination of excitement and exhaustion. I’m no stranger to long-haul flights, but Australian Airline Qantas is taking it a step further with direct flights from Sydney to New York and Sydney to London.
Called Project Sunrise, the ultra-long-haul flights would get passengers to their destinations in approximately 19 hours by cutting out layovers.
Qantas has described the innovation as ‘the final frontier in global aviation’. However, as I discovered at Brisbane Airport, not all travelers are convinced.
